Four planets to appear over Qatar sky this month
Doha: Residents of Qatar and all Arab countries will be seeing and observing four planets of our solar system (Jupiter, Mars, Saturn, and Venus) over the sky this month. The four planets will be close to the Moon at different times during March, Qatar Calendar House (QCH) announced.
The giant planet Jupiter will be approaching Moon tomorrow at at 10am; where the angular distance between Jupiter and Moon will be four degrees. Qatar residents will be seeing Jupiter and Moon together with naked eye over south eastern horizon of Doha sky from the rise time of Jupiter at night of Tuesday until morning of Wednesday, where the time rise of Jupiter today will be at 10:33am, while Sunrise time tomorrow will be at 5:52am Doha local time. Astronomer expert at QCH Dr Beshir Marzouk said.
The red planet Mars will be close to Moon on Saturday, March 10; where it will be at three degrees southern Moon’s center. Qatar residents will be seeing Mars and Moon together with naked eye over eastern horizon of Doha sky from the rise time of Mars until before Sunrise time, where the time rise of Mars on will be at 00:50 Am, while Sunrise time will be at 5:49 Am Doha local time.
The planet with beautiful rings Saturn will be coming close to Moon on Sunday, March 11; where Saturn will be at two degrees southern Moon’s center. Qatar residents will be able to see Saturn and Moon together with naked eyes over eastern horizon of Doha dawn sky from time rise of Saturn at 1:37am until before sunrise time. Dr Beshir Marzouk added.
The brightest planet Venus will be at one degree northern new crescent’s center on Sunday, March 18.
Qatar residents will have a chance to observing Venus and Moon together after sunset time for 52 minutes over western horizon with astronomical telescopes, and they must be at places without light and environment pollutions.
